Work With Us
Who Are We?
We are a Nutrition company, serviced by Registered Dietitians, that helps people leverage nutrition to maximize their performance, results, and health.
Who We Work With:
We are an Alberta-based company that offers virtual and on-site services, as well as In-Person services at our partnered clinic: Tailor Made Wellness in Sherwood Park.
We work virtually with Individuals 1-on-1, and a combination of In-Person + virtual with groups – some of our current clients are hockey and sports teams, as well as corporate clients.
Aside from Alberta residents, we are also able to serve the following provices: Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and the Territories.
Our Values:
- Practicality – helping you make changes that make sense
- Sustainability – make changes that stick long-term
- Balance – no food is off limits, rather a balanced approach
- Collaboration – we work with you, not us simply telling you what to do

Of note: Many of our clients are able to bill our services through their benefits or health spending account, and we can direct bill through many insurers, the more common ones being: Canada Life, Alberta Blue Cross, Medavie Blue Cross, and Desjardin.
What Does A Registered Dietitian Do?
Dietitian’s are health professionals, that all have at least a 4-year bachelors degree and 1200 hour internship, that help people improve their health and well-being through nutrition. We provide personalized dietary advice and plans based on the latest scientific research and each individual’s unique needs.
What We Do Best:
Sports Nutrition
We help our athletes understand how to fuel for their sport, and coach them through the nuances along the way to maximize their performance.
Fat Loss & Building Muscle
We help our clients understand the nutrition targets needed to optimize fat loss or building muscle, and keep them accountable along the way.
Weight Management
We’ll help our clients understand what a healthy weight for them might be (not a certain physique or BMI) and coach them to reach/manage that weight.
Corporate Nutrition
We’ll be your partner in helping promote and educate your team about nutrition to improve your employees health and create a healthy workplace culture.
1-on-1 Services
Clients can work with us 1-on-1 in a variety of ways (see image). They can work with us in a support fashion from one of our Nutrition Courses, or directly 1-on-1 (virtual, or In-Person at Tailor Made Wellness).
For clients that want to work 1-on-1 with us, we start out with a quick 15-minute call to understand a little bit more about what we can help you with, and to see if we’re a good fit.
If we’re a good fit we’ll decide if a Nutrition Package or Nutrition Coaching is the best option for you and we’ll book our first appointment (Initial Assessment); difference with Nutrition Coaching is there is more on-going support, regular interval meetings, and more accountability as we are checking in on you outside of our appointments.
Examples of Specific 1-on-1 Services We Offer:
- Customized Nutrition Program
- Detailed Diet Analysis
- Counselling
- Blood Panel Assessment & Review
- Education

More information: During our first meeting we’ll gather information to understand how to best approach your nutrition plan to support your goal(s), understand what knowledge gaps exist, and to get an understanding of what resources you need. Resources could include any of the following: document outlining caloric and macronutrient targets for different goals, Meal Plan(s) (multiple iterations can be made together, which can include a grocery list and recipes), and more.
I’ve had many of my clients see Mike, and he’s helped out with some of my squash camps. The presentations, information, and handouts he’s provided have been very effective in helping these athletes understand how to optimize their nutrition for performance.
Group Services
We work with groups, like sports teams and companies (eg. corporate wellness) on-site, or virtually.
What each group requires is slightly different, but it usually a combination of presentations, nutrition course access, providing resources, and being a source of accessible support.
An example of what a typical hockey team might do:
2 In-Person Presentations
Each player gets access to the Hockey PowerFuel Performance Nutrition Course
Email support while working together
An example of what a typical company might do:
3 Lunch & Learn Presentations
On-site office hours once per month
Lunch and Learn Topics are customized to the company employees based on a pre-presentation survey, here are some examples:
- How To Sustainably Lose Fat & Keep It Off
- Healthy Eating Tips For Fat Loss & General Health
- Why You Should Eat More Protein & Fibre
- Why Your Fitness Matters More Than Your Weight
- Nutrition Myths & Hot Topics: Intermittent Fasting, Keto Diet, And More…
How to Get Started: Fill out a Client Interest Form (button below) and we’ll send you some more information, and you’ll be invited to book a quick 15-minute discovery call to see how we can best work together (we’ll send you a proposal after the phone call).
I’ve had Mike work with me for just over a year now, and he’s been a key part of my coaching team and helping my hockey athletes ensure their maximum potential. Mike’s presentations were exceptional, delivering clear and practical messages that resonated with our athletes. He simplified complex concepts, making it easy for our players to adopt the recommended dietary strategies. I look forward to continuing working with Mike.
Courses
- Fat Loss
- Building Muscle
- Hockey Performance
- Squash Performance
- General Health
These courses can be done independently, or by having access to a Dietitian along the way.
Why Do A Nutrition Course vs. Work With a Dietitian 1-on-1
Doing a nutrition course is an excellent way to receive concentrated and distilled information on specific topics, allowing you to learn at your own pace and gain a solid foundation in nutrition. On the other hand, working 1-on-1 with a Dietitian offers a personalized approach tailored to your unique needs, providing the nuance and complexity necessary for your individual situation. Additionally, 1-on-1 sessions offer greater accountability, helping you stay on track and achieve your health goals more effectively.
Nutrition Course Review: Fat Loss Blueprint
This is a great resource that I recommend for clients and friends who want to learn more about nutrition. As a strength coach myself, I know online information can be confusing and unreliable, but this course explains the basics clearly and simply. It offers practical tips that you can easily apply to your daily life. I appreciate courses that provide lasting tools to help people manage their health and nutrition on their own.
I had Mike come and do a Corporate presentation to my staff. The talk was informative, practical, and each team member told me they took away a lot of helpful information. I will continue to use Mike as a key part of helping me build a positive health work culture for my company.
